Merit Books is a publication established on 14 September 1998 in Ernakulam district, Kerala State, India by Mr. K.C. James as its proprietor. It was operated from Ernakulam Office located in SRM Road, Ernakulam. Now the administration is done from Aluva Office functioning at 2nd Floor, MAK Tower, Civil Station Road, Aluva 683101. From humble beginning down through the 22 years of its existence, by the merits of God Almighty, nearly 560 books are published on different topics in Malayalam, English, Hindi and Tamil on various subjects. And more than 30 books taken up are still to be completed.

Nature of Publication

The aim of the publication is to reach out the collection of knowledge to all those seeking understanding and enlightenment, especially the children and younger generation. The selections of books are made on that which is useful for personality development on the basis of Christian values and principles. We are publishing both religious and secular books.

Religious Books

Every Christian in every age needs to look to Jesus their master and Lord to learn to handle the problems of their age in relating to God, to one another in family circles, society in which they live and share their life. Hence Merit Books takes up the publications on Christian Prayer, Spirituality, Biblical, Theological, Catechetical Subjects, Biographies of Saints, Children’s Literature and other study materials.

Secular Books

Under this head we mainly concentrate on Children’s Literature. This helps the parents to give moral education for their children at various age levels. We also publish stories and novels written by Children.

Distribution Networks

In Kerala we have almost 132 distribution agents. We also supply books to major cities outside Kerala like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai etc. In addition to this we are supplying books to readers directly by Book post, VPP services, courier services etc.
